Improved Essays
In this essay I will be informing the now 7th graders but future 8th graders of tips and knowledge about 8th grade. No matter what people say, 8th grade is way easier than 7th grade. In 7th grade you’re still adjusting to being in jr. high, and you were still trying adjust to the teachers and the new study habits. 8th grade is easier but that still doesn’t mean that it’s as easy as elementary. So, throughout this essay I will be discussing ways to please Coach Davis, Mr. Peters, Coach Oakley and I will talk about their classes. First, I will talk about Mr. Peters class, and ways to please him. In his class you MUST be ORGANIZED or you can, and will fall very far behind. You will write many essays in his class, mostly argumentative essays, they …show more content…
One way to get him upset is to not answer him when he asks a question, so I suggest you answer everything he asks. Don’t say anything smart-elec to him either or he will come right back at you, he has a lot of comebacks. His class is like Mr. Peters class, it is very challenging but it prepares you. If you pay attention, listen and take good notes in Math you should be just fine. Finally, Coach Oakley’s class. If you had him as a coach in either basketball or volleyball you know that he’s a good coach, but you will find out he’s also a really good teacher. He tries to make class fun so that it doesn’t get real boring, but he still teaches the material and tells you what you need to know. One way to impress him or please him is to be very respectful, if you aren’t respectful though you’ll get in trouble, that goes for just about every class in 8th grade. If you pay attention in his class, and do all of the work it will be a very easy and pretty fun class. In conclusion if you do what you're supposed to, do your work, listen to the teachers, etc, it should be a good year. I will be a lot a easier and more fun than in 7th grade. If you play sports it will be easier than last year too, because you will be the oldest ones. Just remember to answer every question that Coach Davis asks, pay attention, take good notes in every class, and sing very loud in Mr. Peter’s room. Have fun and enjoy your last year in jr.high

I can still remember how bummed my friend was when she found out that she was on the Team H again for eighth grade. Having the same teachers for all of middle school was rare at that time, as there was only a handful of us. Although it may be assumed that my experience would be stagnant, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Having the same teachers meant that we didn’t have to go through the awkward ice breakers. In fact, being on Team H again meant helped me learn in a way I have never experienced before.…

Going on school trips, bonding with our buddies, and even just hanging out as the big guys on campus contribute to this opinion. Although I am sure that this year will be a blast I still have concerns on how my health will affect my experience. Grades are also another worry of mine and how my year will influence my work. Ashland, Yosemite, the Pumpkin Patch, Star King, and the East Coast are some of the examples of the places we visit during our year.…
