There is nothing that you have to eat for thanksgiving. Even though turkey is what comes to mind when you think of Thanksgiving, people also eat ham, duck, and “turducken”. Some people actually hunt for the main meat course! Most Thanksgiving meals also include mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, various veggies, and stuffing. My Thanksgiving however, may be out of the ordinary. The main course includes; ham, lasagna, seashell casserole, potato salad, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, greenbean casserole, corn bread, normal bread, salad, and of course spaghetti. Surprisingly my family does not eat stuffing, so that is not on the list. You can’t have a Thanksgiving meal without appetizers and desserts! Other people have various things like chips, cheese, crackers, and other various non filling items. The appetizers at my Grandma’s house are way more extensive, what can I say I have a lot of family! The appetizers include; cheese, crackers, vegetables, chips, dip, olives & pickles, and lastly some cookies. Most people have desserts like pie, cookies, and everything pumpkin spice and apple flavored. At my Thanksgiving, we may have the staple pumpkin and apple pie, but we also have many cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes, cake, and of course other flavors of pie. Food, has to be the best part of Thanksgiving. The final idea is special activities. For example, at my Thanksgiving, during dinner we go around the table and talk about what we are Thankful for. Also, a big part of my Thanksgiving is football! After all, you can’t forget the 3 F’s; food, football, and family. For other Thanksgivings, talking in the kitchen, playing fun games, and following family customs is a big part of most people’s Thanksgivings. Do you follow any of the customs just mentioned? I know I do! Football, Food, and Family are very important in my
