Possessive Poster And Presentation

Improved Essays
The process of constructing an explanation for the poster and presentation helped me understand the grammatical concept we selected, which was Possessive nouns. Overall if you know how to explain how something works, you are more likely to understand the concept easier and faster. Coming up with an explanation for the poster helped us remember the form, the rules, and the concepts of how possessive nouns work. During the process of figuring out what we were going to say and do, we were able to memorize how possessive nouns work. When we were getting together to construct the poster and present it, each of us had a part to explain. These help us not only understand our knowledge but also the knowledge of our team members. We had met previously before our presentation day about three times in order to prepare everything. We practice twice and went over what we were going to say and do during our presentation. When it was our turn to give the presentation, I was a little nervous but overall I felt confident and ready to present. The process of giving the presentation was really fun in my opinion and educational. I felt like an actual teacher teaching her students. The process of presenting and interacting with the audience was a challenge that we accomplished. We didn’t know what kind of questions they were going to ask or if they were going to be able to gasp the concept or not. But we were prepared for anything that might come; we practice answering some questions that students might ask. Presenting, interacting and answering the students’ questions/comments made me further understand the concept that we were covering. I’m a non-native English speaker and whenever I was first learning about English grammar, I remember that sometimes I will get confuse and lack knowledge of how possessive nouns work. Presenting and answering the students questions help me further understand my knowledge now and realize how far I have come in my English understanding of grammar and the understanding I have now of how possessive nouns …show more content…
At first I didn’t know what to expect, but the process of presenting three times helped us present each time better than the fist time we presented. The first time we presented we were more nervous than the other two times. In my opinion we did pretty good and accomplish our presentation in the time limit. The second time we presented I felt more prepare and less nervous than the first time. I got looser and more relax the second and third time presenting. Also the type of questions that the students ask were really similar, so we felt more prepare and with more knowledge when answering them. The third time we presented, we had to rush because another class was about to start, but we were able to finish the poster explanation. At the end of our presentation one of our classmates, who is a non-native English speaker, told us that he really liked our presentation and that we did a great job. I felt like he actually understood a concept that he didn’t before and that made my day, knowing that we help someone understand how possessive nouns

Ulises Gonzalez 2nd Self-Critique In general, I felt the presentation went well, but after reviewing the video, there are a number of areas I need to improve. First of all, I started well because I presented myself to the audience, I did not have my hands in my pockets, and I was not playing around with my hands, so the first part went really well in general. The presentation was well explained, but it could have been more developed and interesting. The organization was well structured since it addressed everything it was supposed to, but it could have been better because the presentation used the ideas of the paper, and I did not implement new ones.…

For me the activity of working as a group especially with other individuals who I have not worked with or talked to before was a good learning experience that had both positive and negative outcomes using Driscoll’s model of reflection as a frame work to elaborate on how I interpreted what happened, what impact the situation had on me and what I will do in the future if presented with a similar situation (Driscoll and Teh, 2001). We were required to do a 10 minute presentation for a health promotion project that we developed. I decided to work with other individuals who I didn’t know and have not worked with before as I believed I would be more productive and respectful if I worked with people I didn’t know very well. For the first tutorial…

The learning experience that I have chosen to discuss about is preparing for the poster presentations. During this experience, I had to identify and explain the benefits and challenges of inter- professional practice. This was the question that me and my group were given, and we had to deliver it in a presentation format to an audience, which was my class. To go about doing this, I had use and deliver a range of skills and apply it to practice in order to prepare for the presentation. According to Kolb’s Experimental Learning Cycle, (1984), it articulates in the first stage about concrete experience, where me and my group were assigned a task, which consisted of active involvement.…

I remember being terrified to go up because I knew that they were going to ask me questions at the end of my presentation. Luckily, I was able to pull through and answer the questions. My presentation was probably like ten minutes and that definitely helped me grow as a speaker because I am not scared to put my opinion out anymore, I also feel that I will not get as nervous if I ever present again. But I am proud of myself because last year I never really participate and I feel that this year I participated more than last year, since I was not as shy. Also I know many students did not enjoy them…
