Requeese wakes up to a faint sound emitting from his television. He grunts as his slim and translucent body rolls over to turn off the television, room is pitch black besides a tiny bit of the room that is lit up by his television. He struggles to find the remote with his tired, black baggy eyes as he feels like he is strapped to his bed, but after a few minutes he finally gets out of his bed and turns off the television. He slowly gets back into his bed and he is sleep deprived. He continuously rolls over trying to find a comfortable spot, then the television turns on and he hears static sounds launching from his television. His head is spinning and he crawls to his bed feeling heavy and limbless. Static screeches through his head as he finally reaches his room and puts in all his strength to close the door with his skeleton like arm. The room is now pitch black and he can barely move himself, but he pulls through to crawl to his phone. The phone appears to be in a different language which Requeese can’t make out, it sort of looks alien like. He unlocks the phone through facial recognition and opens up his text messages to find 24 missed calls. He can’t read anything but he still understands the icon and the keyboard because of his muscle memory. Requeese manages to text his mother, “I’m sorry I couldn’t get to the phone, but I hope you are alright, the world is going to end in ten minutes. He doesn’t cry or grief, he just sits there quietly and watches the clock as the last nine minutes and twenty-three seconds tick down. He finally opens his blinds to be blinded by the sun, which makes his skin glow and he quickly reaches his long, pole like arm out to shut the blinds.
“I can’t do it” Requeese says sadly as he drops weightlessly to the floor searching for more of his pills to make the pain go away. As soon as he is on the floor, he hears motivational voices for once.
“You can get up!”, “Do not take the pills!”, “You are stronger than this!”, “The world is not going to...”.
Requeese gets the ambition and strength to get himself up and call his family for help. The phone is all pixelated, but he can make a call to his brother. “Hey Requeese, we were all worried, what is wrong? Do you want us to come over?” Requeese passes out.
