While in the zoo we were instructed to choose one exhibit in which we would sit down, observe, and take notes mainly focusing on the way people interacted and reacted with the animals. I chose the Reptile Exhibit in particular because I wanted to see the reactions and behaviors of people to reptiles and amphibians in comparison to other mammals such as cats and other mammals as such. I found that the atmosphere in this exhibit was a lot different than others. From the time I walked in, the atmosphere was more calm and the people were slightly more quiet compared to other exhibits. People were still talking but there wasn't as much energy in the room. Of course it was still evident that people were enjoying it despite the decreased energy.
