If I were to change one thing about American Politics, it would be a change that would result in a more fair and accurate representation of voters. The issue of fair and true representation continues to be a pressing issue our legislative branches of government face. Congress, more specifically, the House of Representatives claims to reflect and be the voices of the people. But proportional representation is something our systems of government is simply not achieving. While some may argue that it is a result of voters not being active or engaged enough to elect officials representatives. Even if that were to change, it alone, would not be enough to change much. With ranked choice voting, it would ensure that winning the most votes wins you the most seats, but not all of them. The majority would get the biggest share, but everyone would be represented by someone they voted for, and being the minority wouldn’t shut you out. Most importantly, far more voters will have representative who share their views. This system of voting could transform the House of Representatives and other legislative bodies into a more accurate representative body, and effectively change the way voters experience American
