Ms. Steward-Wetterauer first came to tour Forest Lake at Oyster Point Apartments on April 7, 2016. On her initial visit it was noted that she was looking to move in around May 10, 2015 but needed to talk with her husband before making a final decision because he was oversees. Ms. Steward-Wetterauer did not submit her application for rental until April 11, 2016. Within those four days, apartments were leased to other prospects submitting applications and availability and rates had changed. Her application was approved on April 13, 2016. On April 18, 2016, Ms. Steward-Wetterauer made the decision to lease 322-A which was a two bedroom / two bath apartment home. Shortly after this date, Ms. Steward-Wetterauer called the office and spoke to the community manager about the rate. A pricing adjustment was made to lower rent to honor the rate at the time she submitted her …show more content…
Steward-Wetterauer elected to sign a lease for her current apartment home agreeing to pay the monthly rent of $879.00 after viewing the apartment with her mother, discussing it with her husband, and with speaking to the community manager. At any point before her move in on May 13, 2016, she had the option of delaying her move, asking for a different apartment if one was available, or deciding not to lease at Forest Lake at all. Given that the choice was entirely Ms. Steward-Wetterauer’s and only minor work request were made that never resulted in her apartment being uninhabitable, we do not feel that there is any reason for an additional price adjustment or any other compensation to be paid. The apartment in which Ms. Steward-Wetterauer resides has been diligently reviewed with the determination being that it is in perfectly acceptable condition, however, should Ms. Steward-Wetterauer have any future maintenance request that we need to addressed, we will work to complete them in the same manner as any other resident that currently makes Forest Lake their
