1. Needs of academics and business
With the development of economic globalization, academics and businessmen have an increasing demand of travelling around the world. As they are travelling, they cannot bring their desktops with them or sometimes they just forget to copy some data, which will cause a lot of inconvenience. But remote control can do a lot of help. However, there are still some constraints on present remote control system. According to our survey, nowadays 86% of academics and white-collars want to operate on their computer remotely. Despite the popularization of intelligent appliances, large companies monopolize the technique of remote control and keep the remote-control appliances at high prices. Instead of offering the service of evolving the traditional appliance into intelligent ones, they make the remote-control function and other function a bundle sale. Just take intelligent air conditioner as an example. According to the research, the price of intelligent air conditioners is usually 300-500RMB higher than the traditional ones [1]. And 63% of people are now satisfied with their air conditioner for other function and consider it unworthy to replace them only for the remote-control function.

Secondly, the security issue of existing intelligent devices can not be ignored. Most of intelligent appliances use WiFi modes, which is easily to be invaded. If the hackers invade remote-control system, they can control all the appliances at your home through that. This will not only result in privacy leaks, but will even cause totally a mess at your home since all your household appliances are controlled by others. The clients hope for a more reliable access to the intelligent life.

Shorter reaction time will bring convenience but will also result in more power consumption. So we mean to make the reaction time adjustable according to clients’ need.
3. Keep safe.
Our product usually works without human’s attention. Hence, we must keep the mechanical components reliable and safe while working. Besides, to prevent our system from being attacked by hacker, we need to use specific way to encrypt the control system.
4. Small size and no interference with the original mechanism.
We mean to make our product an attachment to the appliances to evolve them into intelligent ones. However, we need to make the switches still work normally with direct human control. Hence, we need to make the size of our product small and prevent it from interfering the normal use of the switches.
5. Applicable with different types of switches.
There are different kinds of switches such as buttons, knob and switchers in our home. To extend the functions and make our system more user-friendly, we need to make our system applicable to all of these switches.
6. Low cost.
A lot of potential clients are discouraged by the high price of present intelligent appliance. We should make our cost as low as
