Emily Bronte has used conflict throughout her poem ' Remembrance' to help us relate to what it is like to lose someone you love. This poem is a man vs self conflict you can this because in a section of the poem she is thinking about going to the grave with her loved one. She achieved this by adding some very meaningful lines such as one that states " . Another quote from the poem that creates a mood is " Over the mountains, on that northern shore,Resting their wings where heath and fern-leaves cover " ( Bronte, stanza 2, line 2 & 3 ) this is describing a memory about how her thoughts use to hover around his grave but they don't anymore because she is starting to move on. These two quotes from the poem relate to conflict because it is explaining to us that even though we are trying to move on and trying to forgot our loved ones we can't because they will always be with us.

This poem relates to conflict because it is a man vs self conflict, Emily Bronte has gone through a great loss of a loved one. She did not know how to handle everyday life, it had been fifteen years long since her loved one has passed and she was still mourning. She was not certain how much longer she could handle it. The poems tone is despair, remembering, hopeless and mourning and the meaning of the poem is don't dread in the past even though there is someone that is loved back there just imagine what the future will
