Religon can be a touchy subject in the workplace. Some employees may feel that they are being discriminated against because of their inherited religious preference. Although religious discrimination is not as ubiquitous as gender and ethnic discrimination, the Equal Empolyment Opportunity Commision tracks statistics that show litigation cases for religious discrimination is on the rise especially after September 11th. To eradicate the possibility of an employee feeling forms of discrimination, organizations must bring attention to and stay ahead of this contentious issue. An individuals religion is what guides their behavior and attitudes.
