Religious Worldview Research Paper

A religious worldview, in laymen’s terms, is the perspective by which an individual or group views the world in which we live. The religious worldview may be shaped by one’s understanding or belief of any one or combination of cultural, behavioral, social, or religious understanding or belief (Tackett). Worldviews, for some, are like birthrights. Meaning, that some who are born into families or cultures with absolute beliefs are expected, or required in certain cases, to share the same beliefs as their family or culture. There are many religious worldviews. Some are recognizable in that they are incorporated into our daily living, particularly those that are absolute. Others are more obscure, transcendental, and indeterminate. We will discuss six of these religions and how the world is viewed through their eyes.

My grandparents and other respected older adults have often shared that they have seen the great decline of morals in the United States over the last fifty years . With the introduction of other cultures into the United State by both legal and illegal immigration and the influx of multi-cultural philosophies as our military troops, international business and leisure travelers travel abroad and return to our land with new insights, new experiences, new ways of thinking, one might assume, since the first World War, a pivotal process unfolding.
