Scholars of Religion have been searching for coherent approach to build an academic discipline Religion. This discipline must have its own language and scientific methods to cluster necessary information for the field. The development of Religious departments as an academic field went through many intellectual stages in last couple of centuries in the west. Throughout these stages Religious studies was sort out from the theological and devotional approach to more scientific in both Europe and North America. The modern and scientific study of Religion rose in 1960s it’s important to emphasis this scientific approach to give an academic legitimacy.
