The light is so much more than mere illumination. As I experienced, being in the presence of the Light was healing, loving, and fostered a sense of belonging, of home. This is because the Light is Christ, Himself. Also, according to His words, to know Christ is to know His Father. Christ is the way, the bridge to have a relationship with God. To know Christ is to know God. As there are many religions, beliefs, ways of believing in a deity or higher power, all are missing God’s divine truth at the core if believing in Christ and being baptized by water are not the center of the belief. Once we understand and live according to God plan, a life with Christ, we are also to do more than just carry this faith with us, keeping it to ourselves. …show more content…
Because we are created with free will, we can make choices in life as to the direction of our existence. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can make choices that foster good works in life. We are created to glorify God, so choosing a life to fulfill God’s personal plan for you is the divine choice. For this to be possible, believing and living a life of Christ is the only way to live a righteous earthly life and ultimately beyond human existence. It is the one and only Truth to eternity. Christ is the gate to the eternal kingdom and, sadly, no stranger to Christ will enter that gate of Light. Christ, God’s only son, gave His life as a sacrifice, to be the bridge for us to be back into God’s favor. We are to look to the Cross, to Christ, the Light and the gate; that He may be our Savior, and we will be recognized and robed in His Holy Light at the dawn of eternity. I have traveled to that place, a moment beyond time, when the Light of the world will come …show more content…
As I understand, now the road goes through. No matter what dead end road you are currently on, I hope you begin a path to righteousness in knowing Christ, like taking your next step. Maybe it will be a challenge to reach forward and plant that first stride, but it is so worth the effort. Christ, through His incredible compassion for mankind, has given us new Life through His death on the Cross. He is the gate, the Light of Eternal Life. Just as the road I traveled on was a dead end and brought death; so as, life prior to Christ’s sacrifice was at an impasse. Now, we have real life through His sacrifice for mankind. Christ is the gate, and now, the road goes

Louis Zamperini had the incredible drive and resilience to never give up no matter what he faced. He endured through giving up his Olympic dreams to be a part of the military where his life would never be the same again. He experienced and suffered through a plane crash, lack of food and water, predator attacks, and most of all, Japanese imprisonment (Hillenbrand 125, 162, 197). At these camps, he was tortured, beaten, verbally afflicted, and starved worse than anything a person could ever dream of (Hillenbrand 300). However, Zamperini stood tall and knew that all of the pain and suffering was temporary and would soon come to an end.…

Few will find the path to the kingdom of God because it is not an easy, spacious, or broad road to travel. So many people comfortably find themselves on the wrong road, since sin feels good, with many wicked options to choose from. Most will look back into their lust, pride, greed, and need to taste and touch their…

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. " Anabaptists throughout the centuries have exemplified these words of Christ in both speech and action.…

    Havel True Meaning

I partially agree with Havel in the sense that I feel that mankind can’t truly understand the intended or true meaning of his or her own life, without knowing the one who created him. Indeed, we may be talented and have natural proclivities toward certain abilities in life that we end up pursuing and being successful at, but that doesn’t mean that is ever what God intended us to be, or engage in. In essence, the true meaning, or as Sire (2015) noted, the “really real” is to have fellowship and be in right standing with God—to obey His commands, and love Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength (p. 20). The second half of his statement seems valid in the sense that complacency has the ability to impact us all at some point.…

The Wesley Understand of Human Salvation What is salvation? The salvation which is here spoken of is not what is frequently understood by the word, the going to heaven, eternal happiness. …… It is not a blessing which lies on the other side of death….it is a present thing….[it] might be extended to the entire work of God , from the first dawning of grace in the soul till it is consummated in glory (Maddox 143). Albert C. Outler noted that this sermon has the most extensive history of oral preaching behind it of any of the written sermons; therefore, he recommended it as the best single essay by which to judge Wesley’s soteriology (Maddox 323). Wesley denied here that human salvation is only a future hope; Wesley was also denying that it is…

We are given free will in our lives, to make our own choices that can either lead us onto a path of hope and freedom or one filled with chaos and corruption. In today’s society, it’s become more of a struggle to follow God and what He calls us to do, than to fall into the trap of the world. Humanity is filled with problems stemming from the fall of Mankind. Adam and Eve fell into the temptation of Satan, which led them towards the punishment of God.
