Pi is born into Hinduism and he continues to follow this religion path as he grows older for a variety of reasons the faith has to offer. This includes the clanging if bells to announce one’s arrival of God, the flames of arati lamps circling in the darkness, colourful murals, and because he feels that his heart is in the right place practicing this faith. He passionately expands that he feels this special presence every time he has gone to a temple, and his great love for all the God’s that play a great role in his life. Another religion Pi begins to follow is at the age of 14, during his time in Munnar.
