From 1933-1945, one of the most memorable religious wars was occurring. According to the Holocaust Memorial Museum Website, “The Holocaust…the persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.” Problems among religions have been brewing for many years and there will continue to be conflict in the years to come. Religion is interfering with science and/or social progress. There are multiple controversial topics that can cause an uproar for one or many religions. In addition, there are disagreements between religions that cause many other issues on their own. Science is always progressing and challenging previous ideas and religious people do not want to believe that it is happening. They do not practice what they preach. “… All that they tell you to do, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them” (biblehub.com). There are guidelines within a religion that are strongly urged to be followed. While people are preaching these guidelines, they, themselves, are not following said guidelines. “… This does not mean if you’re not perfect you shouldn’t associate yourself with the church; religion is about forgiveness, but also about trying to improve” (Herlihy). Everyone makes mistakes. Followers of a religion do not have to follow every single little detail. However, if a follower is preaching a guideline, it is only appropriate that they, too, follow this guideline. There are many children and young adults who look up to their role models for guidance.
