Fun Home is written by Alison Bechel, and it is a graphic memoir recalling her life growing up. The story is focused on the relationship she had with her father and her family, as well as the different situations she went through while she was finding her true self. This was the first graphic novel I have ever read, and I have to say that the different style was fun to read. It was also interesting to see the way Alison compared her life to different works of literature throughout her graphic memoir. In the novel there are many moments that Alison expresses the desire that she wants to wear cloths that would be considered masculine and rejects attire that is considered feminine.
