Relationship Goals: It's Way Around Social Media

#Relationship goals. That phrase has made it's way around social media the last few years. People use #Relationship goals to define the perfect relationship, from a perfect celebrity couple, to a random text in the middle of the night asking their significant other to bring them food, to a picture of a couple playing video games together. Everyone has their version of the perfect relationship, and in my eyes my parents are the epitome of relationship goals. Ever since I could remember my dad has always been trying to find ways to surprise my mom, even on a random tuesday. My dad always thinks of my mom, sometimes when he can't sleep he sits on his phone and goes through eBay and will see something that reminds him of her and will buy it and …show more content…
He always tries to one up his previous surprise although I don't think there is anyway to top last year's Valentine's Day surprise. My dad spent three weeks planning that surprise. To prepare for the surprise my dad had me write a lot of cute sayings on different sized paper hearts that I cut out, he also bought a few gifts every time he went to the store and hid them either in his car or in my room. I remember I found out about his plan when he was taking me to my dentist appointment, we had a few minutes to kill so we went to Dollar General and he bought a bunch of hearts with assorted chocolates and stuffed animals. I remember thinking how much fun was to be a part of the surprise and trying to hide everything from my mom. Now, onto the surprise. On Valentine's Day while my mom was at work my dad snuck into my mom's car before lunch and left the 24 little gifts and assorted chocolates he bought, one for each year they have known each other, around in the front seats of her car, he also sprinkled plastic rose petals all around the inside of her car, and taped my handmade hearts onto her dashboard. After all of that was done he left and went back to work and when my mom went out to her car for her lunch break she was was surprised. She said it was one of the best surprises she has ever
