From reading everyone’s discussion board, I noticed that there are few classmates that feel like they are considered as a lower social class than they are, because of their language that they use. Which I think there are no such things as “proper” languages. “Who created these linguistic standards, and who has the authority to decide that our tongues are illegitimate…” this sentence is from the “article name” by “article author.” (citation) However, the concept of “proper” language is all around the world. For example, when we first meet people, especially in business or formal situation, we try to use “proper” language rather than the language you usually use to family or friends. For instance, I will ask “How are you guys today?” instead of “How are y’all today?” if I am having a meeting with new people I just met.
