Conflicts Between Rome And America

Religions and political issues are always having relationships with each other since the ancient period in human history. Religions can cause conflicts between governors and governors, people and governors, as well as one group of people and another group of people. One similar thing between ancient world and today’s world is the relationship between different religious groups and politics. Rome had this kind of issues in its imperial period. As a current country which has many similarities with Rome, America is also experiencing this kind of issues today. The conflict in Rome was between Christians and early Roman Empire, similarly, in nowadays America, there is an ongoing issue between Islam and the United States in terms of overall situations. For example, Islam in the United States now is having similar experience with Christianity in Roman Empire before the emperor Constantine in ancient Rome. Rome had a very high flexibility with different religions, just like they had few restrictions on the issue of citizenship and a high acceptability of foreign cultures. There was religious syncretism happened between Roman religion and other religions. There are hundreds and thousands of deities in Roman religion, and many of those deities are gods and goddesses adopted from ancient Greece.
