“Forks over Knives”, a documentary film directed by Lee Fulkerson released in 2011, examines the career of the physician Cardwell Esselstyn, and the nutritional biochemistry professor Collin Campbell, to suggest that degenerative diseases that affect most of the society could be controlled—or maybe reversed—by avoiding the presence of processed and animal-based foods. In this documentary, Fulkerson promotes a plant-based and a low-fat whole-food diet as a suggestion to combat the number of diseases related to bad eating habits. In addition, “Forks over Knives” supports an analysis made from the 20-year China-Cornell-Oxford Project, which led the findings of Professor Campbell. In his findings, he recommends that diseases such as diabetes, obesity,…
I watched Fatal Attraction with a friend and I said to him "that's what you get when you just want some fun for the weekend". Although going with Alex was a decision Dan made it was very unfortunate that the woman he had an affair with was extremly crazy. I doubt that Alex got pregnen, if she was obssesed with Dan she could have made everything up. I don't belive Dan seen as a hero at the end of the movie because it has his wife the one that had the last shot, literally in the theatrical ending and figuratevly in the orginal ending.…
The Breaking Away movie portrayed a lot of themes from Cinderella. They are so similar in so many things if not the same themes but different story plot. In the “Cinderella” and the loss of the father love there was a little girl named Ginny who always came second in her parents mind “’Cinderella’ was her chosen tale” (schectman 290) Just like Ginny, Dave’s chosen tale was being Italian, calling his dad, papa and his mom, mama and telling the girl that he liked that he is Italian. Not only that but also in paragraph four in the article Schectman said that every member of the family was responding to a loss (Schectman 291).…

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies of all times; as I was a junior in high school when this film was released in 1985. Detention was a common punishment; however, holding the detention sessions on Saturdays was controversial. Many individuals were angered by having to give up their time on the weekends. Therefore, the internal rebellion included not only students; but, parents and school facility as well. By the time my sister entered high school in 1988, Woodhaven High, no longer held Saturday detention sessions.…

However, there are many obstacles; the two predominant ones being that she is already in a relationship with someone else and that them being from two different feuding families will result in them being torn apart by said families. Thelma and Louise, a film by Carolyn Ann Khouri, trails the liberations of two working class women in the 90’s. These women plan a weekend away from the men in their lives due to the fact that Thelma’s husband is a misogynistic man who feels that a woman’s job consists only of housework and cooking. In the first scene of the movie Thelma wants to ask her husband, Darryl, for permission to go on the trip with Louise. He yells at her and she quickly changes the subject. In my opinion, this is one of the most crucial scenes in the entire film because it outlines the sexism and discrimination that these two women will face throughout the course of the movie.…
