I am going to use the Relational Dialectics Theory for my theory topic. This theory seems interesting because it focuses on the contradictions in relationships. I believe that many people are in a relationship with another individual or are friends with them because of the different characteristics they possess. Yes, these differences create tension, but if people want a relationship to last they accept these differences. This theory seems as though it will support my opinion that people prefer to spend time with individuals who are different from them.
