Pt. stated, “Some of my past activities used to revolve around drugs.” Pt. spoke about the importance of finding clean and sober friends because all his current friends and acquaintance are drug users. Counselor provided him with NA meetings in the Rehoboth area where he can attend and meet supportive sober people. Counselor taught Pt. that the people with whom he was getting high were not true friends and that he needs to begin to forge positive relationships with drug-free and recovering people. Counselor explained that participating in AA, NA, or CA are ways of filling the void left by the loss of drug-using peers. Counselor asked him if he has used drugs since his last session and how effective is his current prescribed methadone dosage. Pt. indicated that he has used opiates one or twice a week since he reentered the program. Pt. reported that he is stable on his current dose of medication. At the end of the session,
