The main character is unknown, with the book being based on their diary. We, the readers, have no info on her name, but I’m going to use Alice. We do have information on her age. This book is based on the 1960’s and in the beginning of the book, she just turned 15. Her first time using drugs weren’t on purpose, however she does get sucked into the world of them. She eventually becomes an addict, but there are some moments that they tried to stop, but relapses. And that is why I do want to become her friend.
Alice does use drugs for the majority of the book, but there are some parts that she tries to stop. I believe if more people helped her, and not put her in the asylum, she would have recovered from being an addict. Asylums aren’t helping
