There have been numerous quintessential examples of wicked downfalls throughout the world. A famous example would be when Moses led the people out of slavery in Egypt and because of that it caused the emperor to go mad and because of his madness, that is what killed him and his empire. But the French Revolution is one of the most devastating attacks against the Roman Catholic Church. It cost the lives of some many great people at the time. “God writes straight with crooked lines” is a perfect quote that exemplifies the Reign of Terror. What this quote means is that we all make mistakes in life and when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, he sought to repair things by sending Jesus to die on the Cross so that we can all be saved from the fiery gates of Hades. …show more content…
Because that of the countless prayers, Masses, and sacrifices that the people of France and the others across the globe, it ultimately concluded when the Reign of Terror ended in July 28, 1794 with its last execution of its leader, Maximilien Robespierre. Prayer is one of the greatest apparatuses that Our Father has every given us. It was through prayer that the monstrous Reign of Terror ended and fooling the French Revolution. And prayer has been used to end some of the most horrific events of the history of the world. Slavery in the United States was ended when good men like Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery and free black Americans. It also helped end the dreadful events of the Holocaust which cost the lives of six million Jews, Catholics, Jehovah witnesses, Homosexuals, Poles, and countless other people. And we are now living in a time that definitely should use prayer. Abortion has cost the lives of seventy-six million innocent lives.
