A rehabilitation therapist is a person who implements treatments designed to help patients recovering from accidents, injuries or disease regain their strength and range of motion. I really like this job because I like to help people, I love seeing people get better and be happy. I think rehabilitation therapy is a good job for me and what I like. I enjoy how much work and time the therapists put into helping their patients.

I have some goals that I want to reach while looking into this job. Some goals that I wanna start doing now are easy but still helping me learn. These goals will be my mid range goals that I will start soon. I wanna start to become more familiar with the job, maybe even observe someone while they are at work as a rehabilitation therapist. If I had the chance I would start working with the job and be more interactive with the therapist and patients. If I could start these goals soon that would be great!

I have more goals but these are the long term goals, the goals I wanna try to reach farther down the road. I most definitely wanna try to work with the job. Interacting/hands on will help me learn faster and better. I would also really like to take classes and become better at being a rehabilitation therapist. Keeping my three personal and professional goals realistic, I would have to say a personal goal is to finish school at SNHU with a 3.0 GPA or above. I think a way for me to accomplish this goal is to stay focused on the tasks at hand, maintain a good relationship with my advisors and to utilize some of the tutoring options that are available to me as a student. Another personal goal is to work on myself, mentally. I cannot be a good mom or wife when I have the stress, anxiety and depression that I do. A way to help accomplish this goal is to not only start speaking with a psychiatrist (first appointment is August 4th) but to also have my thyroid checked.…

My Research Project delved into psychology, criminology and forensics. Discussing “To what extent is the rehabilitation of murders is effective in preventing them from reoffending”, I identified that murder in Australia is often a one time occurrence by the perpetrator. However, In America murderers are more likely to kill again at a rate of 1.2%. Using analysis, I discovered that not only psychological tests are involved in rehabilitation and the justice system is not focused on transitioning programs outside of prison. Murderers rarely suffer from mental health/ traumatic childhood experiences, at only ten per hundred.…
