On the law passed by Congress, it should be required for fast food companies to have all of the nutritional facts label and ingredients list for each item on the menu, so that people can more easily regulate what they are putting into their bodies. In the law that Congress needs to pass, it should be stated that fast food companies should not be allowed to sell meals that are over six hundred calories. According to Medical News Today, a meal “must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health” (Nordqvist). Instead of having meals that are all based around breads and sugars, restaurants need to include fruits, vegetables, and lean meat, in addition to the breads and sugars. It needs to be included in the law that at least 4 out of the 5 main food groups should be included in every meal at a fast food restaurant. According to Berkeley Wellness Center, “for higher-calorie foods, portion control is the key” (Jones).
