Registered Nurses

Bang! Two cars crash and the drivers are taken to a hospital. Not everyone is able to take care of someone that is injured or seriously hurt in an accident like a car crash. That's where nurses come in. Nurses take care of people that can't take care of themselves for many different reasons, for example if someone is to old and need help to do everyday things, they would probably go to a nursing home where nurses would take care of them. To start off, nurses need certain skills to do their job. One of those skills is being able to administer patients’ medicines and treatments. Giving patients the correct medicine is very important because they could have serious problems that need a certain medicine to heal. It takes practice to remember what medicines solve certain problems without looking it up. Another skill they need is being able to teach patients and their families how to manage illnesses or injuries. Nurses need a bachelor's of science degree in nursing (BSN), an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN), or a diploma from an approved nursing program. Registered nurses also must be licensed. A nurses must have emotional stability to be able to work around things like blood.
