In the societal marketing concept, the marketer is required to abide by the principles of social obligation in the marketing of their goods and amenities. They should attempt to satisfy the needs and wants of their target markets in a way that reserve and improve the well-being of consumers and society. The marketer must achieve the needs of the audience they’re targeting in such ways that improves society as a whole and the objectives of the organization itself. If done correctly, it’ll achieve its ultimate goal which is to gain profits. Otherwise, you should prevent it from leading to the short term direction where majority business executives embrace it in their ambition for increased market shares and rapid profits.

In terms of attraction, the company tends to attract couples to get the ultimate experience of traveling. They try to maintain the guest on a ratio of 1 to1. Income plays a huge factor into experiencing this cruise line because its target audience is those who are considered to be in the middle to upper class. They offer an all-inclusive experience to make sure complete satisfaction is met. Now, when you look at Royal Caribbean it’s a little different. Compared to Regent Seven Seas, it is much more affordable for someone who is not in the upper class. Rather than focusing its image on a couples retreat, it offers a fun experience for a family. In terms of traveling, it’s cruise line it’s mainly focused on the Caribbean islands.
