Lying Is A Necessary Evil

Lying Such a simple word, but it can carry a virtual horde of meanings that can be seen to be shaded from the innocent white to the horrifying and betrayal that is black at the core. Throughout known history the lie has always been one of the absolute worst acts of treachery and deceit that any individual could utter, and in fact it has more than one implication in every culture known to mankind. At the root it is a falsehood, a deception that is thought to be necessary in some cases and completely uncalled for in others. Lying is in essence a wound that never fully heals, and an act of treachery that is never truly forgiven. Morally speaking there are in fact times to which many would admit that lying is absolutely necessary in order to spare the ugly and very unappealing truth. Regardless of this however a lie is more often than not a smokescreen that is used to justify a type of behavior, a wrongdoing, or a failing that would otherwise be difficult or even impossible to accept in its true form.
