Reformer Class Analysis

Decent Essays
Hi Sydney!

I can totally relate being a student leaves little to no room to do anything extra, let alone teach reformer classes. Base on your goals I have no doubt that you'll be successful. There are a lot of health professionals in my family and if I decide to move to New York I have a "guaranteed" job. Great decision in watching your mother's reformer class at least you'll keep yourself informed, so that when you do have the time to teach the class you'll have the foundations.

I have had the advantages of going to school without a problem, summer camps, tennis, and the video games I play. The only real disadvantage I see is affording for college. It is a lot of money, so I am expected to get scholarship.…

In Greg Mantsios’ essay, “Class in America-2012”, Mantsios depicts different aspects of social class. It is fair to say that Mantsios is a believer that the rich exploit the poor, and that the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer. In his essay, there are four myths about class in America, ten realities of class in America, and three different profiles of people’s lives since birth, all of whom have different social class levels. Social class categorizes people into upper-call, middle-class, and lower-class, and in Mantsios’ essay, he highlights how social class causes division in the United States while he favors the idea of the radical redistribution of wealth. While Manstios claims that the rich exploit the poor, he does not emphasize…

I’ll never forget the moments of watching all my friends being able to go to the playground and enjoy themselves as I would have to walk to a different classroom to my ESOL class. ESOL was an English practicing class, it allowed for students that knew very few English and was a method for us to learn and practice our English. Towards the end of the class as we all headed back from recess, or in my case from ESOL I would have a short time to speak and talk to my friends, and they would always ask about my whereabouts. I would try to explain to them exactly where I was and what I would be doing, and I knew that they did not fully comprehend me, yet I still tried. I would attend my ESOL class all throughout the third grade, by the beginning of…

Those concepts put together equate to what America was built on: Capitalism. Competition is prevalent in every day life; it’s the social concept of survival of the fittest. Everyone wants to be at the top and no one wants to give up his or her spot. To back up her claim on competition Taylor writes, “ It has always been a means by which the most powerful white men in the country have justified their rule, made their money, and kept the rest of us at bay.”…
