Reformation: Reformation And The Counterculture Revolution

Time after time change happens constantly. No matter what happens things will constantly undergo change. There are many examples about change such as the Reformation, Renaissance and the Counterculture Revolution which all has displayed how change has happened through these events. First of all the reformation was one of the most important changes for the Catholic Church. At that time the Catholic Church was going through corruption and the church got a lot of money from indulgence, which is when someone pays money or a fine for church so god can atone for their sins. During that time there was the cold war going on with the Soviet Union and there was the Vietnam War which has spread throughout Southeast Asia with this the American government has lied to its citizens about the Vietnam War and resulted with the truth being revealed and the government wasn’t trusted anymore at the same time the Soviet Union has taken control over Vietnam. During the Counterculture Revolution there was also the civil rights movement both for African Americans and women in America. There were many main figures but the important ones were Martin Luther King Jr. who won the Nobel peace prize and Rosa Parks who took a stand against the rules about skin colored people. Meanwhile for the women rights main figures included Lucy Stone and Susan B. Anthony. These were brave people who stood against the law, government and community. The cold war was probably the one of the most important things during that time period the cold war between America and Soviet Union. The cold war included the Vietnam War, Korean War and the Great Space Race, which had different impacts in Southeast Asia, Korea and Astronomy. The Vietnam War was when North Vietnam (controlled by USSR and China) and South Vietnam (The U.S.) fought against each other. This also resulted over 58,000 Americans K.I.A. The Korean War was similar to the Vietnam War the North and the South fought each other for control over land. Over 5 million people had died meanwhile almost 40,000 Americans were K.I.A. and leaving over 100,00 wounded. Finally the Great Space Race which resulted in the first satellite to be released into space by the USSR and the America successfully sending the first man to walk on the moon which was Neil Armstrong which changed astronomy, satellites and the space technology till present
