Firstly, because of my lack of familiarity with the class, my timing was incorrect and my lesson would overrun. To improve this, there are several strategies for working with students to accelerate the pace of the lesson: trying to put into place under planning in order to make plenty of time for understanding and for the plenary to conclude the lesson, using verbal reminders of timings throughout the lesson, and establishing ways of dealing with any issues that arose during a lesson while still keeping within the time constraints of a session. Then, because of setting a time limit of twenty minutes of teaching practice, I didn’t provide more support for the first task in the while-listening section. As a result, students were difficult to give the correct answer in the first time. To make my teaching practice better, I should pause the listening recording at the key words or after each speaker in the second time to help learners locate the correct answers easier and after that, I should let students compare their answers with partners and choose individuals randomly to give me the answers. If students give the incorrect answers, I will elicit keywords that tell them the right answers. Next, as a teacher, I always hope that my students is listening carefully to my lesson and assignment instructions. Unfortunately, I found that sometimes a few students didn’t pay attention to what I was saying. While the teacher was asking questions, some students used their hand phones and talked with their friends, which affected their learning process clearly and caused problems when they missed key information during instructions. It’s a good idea to engage all students in the lesson by asking students to work in groups or choosing randomly any students to answers the questions, not just volunteer students.
