This reflective report documents my experiences during my time studying MKTG304. Throughout this time, I have selected some skills and capabilities that are aligned with my strengths and capabilities. My pre-activity self-rating has allowed me to reflect on these strengths and capabilities and thus have rated myself from E (unsatisfactory) to A (Excellent). From this activity, I had given myself time to work on these capabilities, so that towards the end of MKTG304 I can rate myself again, to show whether I had improved or worsened on my capabilities. My tone of voice shows that I have some clarity and confidence in myself when pitching myself to a potential employer. This video is an effective piece of evidence, due to its functional elements such as: pause, subtitles, and replaying the video again; one in which an employer won’t have the luxury to do when interviewing a prospective candidate, unless a video is required by the candidate. However, the disadvantage of using a video to showcase my communication skills, is the time limit that I’ve been given to record myself. As I’m getting used to recording information that’s important to me through written, typed versions and encoding them in my memory, it leaves no room for any disadvantages. It records all of what useful information I have from a particular experience on the pages of my journal, or on the document application on my laptop device. However, an alternative to using my journal as a piece of evidence of my reflection experience, I could instead provide a fictional story of myself. But using a fictional story that describes each of my reflective experiences won’t have a flow that’s needed for a story. Hence, a reflection is best captured in the form of the pages of a
