Conflict Analysis Assignment

This assignment provides an opportunity for me to reflect on a conflict which occurred some time ago but is indelibly etched in my memory and is an avenue for me to take a critical look at the situation and ensure that it does not reoccur.
It would be great to really convince myself that the root cause of the conflict was truly addressed and the solutions were effective enough to avoid any relapse or re-occurrence. Some time ago, I was instructed by my principal to assist a colleague of mine who had some medical issues and a difficult class. I was given permission to discontinue my Special Needs and Information and Communication sessions whenever there was need to do so and simply inform the teacher of the class that I was forced to reschedule

During this time, I found myself being called into the principal’s office to engage in somewhat discussions, sometimes even cautioned or reprimanded about my performance and attendance.
Everything peaked, when I was handed a letter from my principal which listed her grievances and informed me of a meeting with the District Education Officer. I remember the feelings of anger, betrayal and confusion at that point.
I will go through the Root Cause Analysis to address this conflict. The Root Cause
Analysis (RCA) is a widely used approach which assists individuals in figuring out the reason an unwanted situation arose and has a set procedure to figure out the main reason for the conflict or situation so that the individual can find the reason it transpired and decrease the likelihood of a repeated incident (Mind Tools Content
Team, 2007).
Step One: Define the Problem
• It is possible that I am in danger of losing my job
• An appointment was scheduled with my District Education Officer after several meetings with the principal about my attendance and job performance. Step Two: Collect the

There is a possibility that I may have to endure some sort of delayed gratification and not take up new major projects when I am engaged in something that is already time consuming and demanding, regardless of how excited I may be about it.
Physician Ranna Parekh of The American Psychiatric Association submits the following definition:
Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.” (Parekh, 2017)
I always thought it was a silly condition and figured that people who suffered with it were simply weak and lacked self-control. It is only when you come face to face with a beast, you understand first-hand how ugly it can be. I can now identify with the suicidal persons whom I have judged so harshly in the past as I can clearly say that my faith and the love of those around me rescued me from those unhealthy

Gun control is one of many contemporary social problems that has created a lot of controversy and disagreement between a variety of groups in the United States. Underlying this issue as well as others is the Conflict Theory, one of the few traditions highlighted by Randall Collins in his book, Four Sociological Traditions. Disagreements can arise from individual beliefs that end up opposing one another, and once these conflicts reach their tipping point, one side become alienated, and change begins to be fought for. In the present day, there is so much disagreement that it makes the Conflict Theory one of the most relevant traditions for explaining and understanding society as it currently is due to the constant disagreements between people.…

Hey Haleigh, I really enjoyed reading your post. I agree with Karl Marx, that society is determined by economic organization, particularly the ownership of property. In today's society, people think power is everything. People with power, think they can get alway with anything. In my opinion, it should not matter if you are rich or poor, everyone should be treated equally.…

Root Cause analysis (RCA) is the formal search for an individual or group of interacting true causes of a problem. The difficult part of professional problem solving is to identify the right tool(s) capable of identifying the true root cause(s) of a problem and not just the symptoms. It is common to find more than just one root cause to a problem, so be skeptical if you just find one root cause to any problem. RCA can be pointed at any simple and complex problem but the designated problem solver has to know what technique to use for different types of problems. For example, let's look at two different issues in need of solutions: 1.…

Although there are many problems in this case, the main problem is lack of student learning, which needs to be the top priority of a free and appropriate public education, aside from safety, which is always at the forefront. As the principal, I need to reflect on my last 2 years of making an attempt to develop positive and trusting relationships, and my own growth as an educational leader. The problem here is that Principal Hulbert is still at a Level 1 leadership role; where people follow you simply because of your title. This was demonstrated when Bill Osborne, the employee spokesperson, told the principal, “You are the boss and you can force us to revise the lesson plans. Just tell us what you want in the lesson plans, we’ll copy it, and we can go on to more important issues,” (Kowalski, 2012, p.5).…

Falls in the hospital settings are considered to be the most common negative event after medication error, and many of hospi-tal’s falls cause serious injury that many times results in prolonged and complicated hospital stay, increase costs for the hospitals, and poor quality of life for the patient, and I do believe that one of the most causes which I also mention in my root cause analysis dia-gram has to do with the policies and protocols that are not reviewed and updated at the right time. The gap in updating and imple-menting serious policies and protocols led to an increase rate up to 40% that was announced during a staff meeting in august 2009 in the company I used to work. Along with other cases that occur I want to present the case…

When it came to behavioral problems in the classroom, the teachers would very rarely address the inappropriate behavior of a the student, and instead would just give them a time-out type of punishment. Some children would have to move a clip with their name on it from a “paying attention, learning” board, to one reflecting their current attitude, “disruptive, not focused.” However, in this process, the student was never thoroughly spoken to about their actions, although, I must note again, that I was only present for a short period of time and while issues may have been addressed at a later date, they were not when I was…
