As a child, I had a youthful perspective on life and society. Now that I am older, my perspective has drastically changed and I see things differently. My perspective has changed because I used to believe there were happiness, peace, and unity in life; however, I learned a few lessons that opened my eyes, and now I see the world through a whole new perspective.

My perspective drastically changed when I realized the world is imperfect, and people are not always going to be kind to one other. For example, I was only thirteen years old when a random woman I did not know insulted me by calling me a ‘stupid Mexican’. I no longer think life is a perfect world, nor is it easy-going. My perspective has grown the realization that life is not perfect and that imperfections are okay. An imperfection is okay because I realized that is how life is truly supposed to be. I now know there are good parts and there are bad parts of life and that is how it is supposed to play out. I realized some people would agree with me and others would disagree with me. The way I see life now is flawed, but I can deal with it. I can manage with flaws because I have grown to realize that flaws help shape someone. Because of my change in perspective, I can manage dealing with life and I know what to focus on and what to
