For a long time I didn’t try that hard in school, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t have intelligence or that I dislike learning. I simply didn’t know how I learned so school was challenging to me and as a result I fell behind and sank deeper and deeper into the quicksand as I struggled. I am primarily an intrapersonal/Introspective learner or a verbal/linguistic learner. What that means for me as a learner, is that I prefer to work alone and that I may retreat somewhere quiet to work on a solution to a problem and that I may spend too much time trying to solve something on my own that could easily be solved with the help of others. Group projects are my achilles heel. A verbal/ linguistic learner can easily express themselves writing but also verbally. English class has always come easily to me, as this type of learner loves reading and writing, such as I do. I have decided to either dedicate myself to a full-time job and move out of my parents house and move into an apartment a couple towns over until I am financially stable and take a year to focus on building my work experience for a future career and save money to go to college the following year, or after I graduate I will move out and live on campus and work part time while I am at school. Although it is not preferable, I am willing to live at home and commute to school as well to cut back on expenses. I would like to attend Everett community college and get my associates degree and either attend a culinary academy of transfer into a four-year-school. There I will either enroll in a baking program or a graphic design course. I have many options and opportunities and I am confident I will be able to build a strong future for myself after high
