This course has prepared me for life outside the classroom. If a technology leadership role were to become available, my experience in this course would facilitate my successful transition from classroom teacher to educational technologist. Participation in this class has equipped me to make an impact in the world of educational technology.
The assignments in this course were of great quality as the training from the coursework has qualified me further to be a leader in educational technology. Several assignments stand out to me.
I learned quite a bit from the leadership essay assignment. A part of the assignment was to take a leadership style quiz. I clearly realize now I need to focus my efforts on utilizing participative leadership techniques when leading my colleagues. I yearn to have people follow me willingly and not because they have to.

The fact I was operating at a level 1 was brought to my attention by the assignment. I did not realize I needed my students to be creating solutions to problems and addressing real world scenarios in order to increase the LoTi level. I used the knowledge gained from another course I have taken and asked the students to create a website to assist elementary students with electricity concepts. This solely happened due to my new found awareness garnered from the LoTi assignment.
My involvement in the technology plan report was great. I learned a tremendous amount about technology plans and had a wonderful experience with my group. One can truly tell a lot about a district by simply reading their technology plan. The part of the assignment I delighted in the most was identifying strengths and weaknesses in a district technology plan.
