I had previously been attending Huntington University, a Christian college in Indiana, for the past three years. I originally went there as a film major, but eventually switched to broadcasting. It was there that I found my passion for producing. I was blessed with many opportunities to learn and practice producing. I met so many wonderful people, and was able to learn in grow as an individual.
Like many college students, I have to work in order to pay for schooling. I had a hard time juggling school, work, and my friends. I rarely got to visit my family, and stayed on campus to work during breaks. It was hard to make time for everything I wanted to do. Because of that, I decided to move back to Iowa and attend Colorado Christian University

At the time, it was really hard to make this decision. I am not a fan of change, and did not want to disappoint my friends, family, and professors. Once I officially transferred, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Not only am I saving thousands of dollars, but I am better able to balance and manage my time. I was constantly anxious and stressed out before, but now I feel like I can do all of the things I want to or need to.
It is situations like this that I am amazed at how well God knows me and how my mind works. When it comes to many big decisions in my life, God sort of eases me into it (even if I don’t realize it at the time). It is kind of hard to explain in such a short paper, so I apologize if this sounds crazy. When I think about doing something important or life-changing, I consider it for a long time (in the case of HU to CCU, I thought about it for months). During that time, there are a series of decisions or events that slowly lead to the final decision. God lines up the support
I need before I catapult myself from state to state. I may feel like I am jumping out of a plane without a parachute, but that is never the case.

Looking back at the memories I 've made and the things that I 've experienced, it 's hard to put those things into words. I look back to where I was a year ago, and it 's amazing how far I 've come. A year ago I had no idea where I was going to college, I began to question what I wanted to do with my life, and I forgot to enjoy life. My high school basketball career had just come to an end, I had the opportunity to watch our girls compete for a State Championship, I was a month and a half from graduating high school, and I was on my way to Washington, D.C. and New York City for the first time in my life, and I was selected to go to National FCCLA in DC for my…

For some students, choosing to attend college after high school is an easy decision. Some are expected by their families to continue into higher education post high school graduation. I know a few people that are so motivated to attend college that they already know for sure what they are going to major in before they were even freshmen in high school. For me, I was not falling into that category. College was something I did not consider throughout my time in high school.…
