1. When I’m met with fierce assignments and extreme deadlines, my mind remains clear and my goal is still set in place. Working in various strategic leadership positions from vice president to president, to Events director or yearbook editor. These many leadership positions have pushed me to become more determined to make things happen that are deemed impossible. I feel as though being determined in everything I do, is one of my strengths. I exceed in being the person that will make things happen even when the odds are stacked against me. Though in that same determination, I struggle with delegation. Delegation is something I have had to work on from the beginning. NHS has an irreplaceable spot in Hilhi culture. NHS is another way for students to broaden their leadership experience. They have the availability to the student community and through service opportunities. Additionally, NHS keeps students accountable to keep great academic standing and provides a space to have academic support through similar peers. Through leadership experience, giving of yourself and time, and achieving high academic standing, this builds a desirable character. NHS not only builds academics, leadership, and service. It deeply builds and roots character and starts with the foundation of all three qualities. To make the NHS experience thrive, I would like to connect NHS with more Hilhi students. For example, if we have a service project coming up, we should focus on broadcasting and give information about the event. Connecting NHS with other Hilhi students could raise interest from other students to set goals and to apply or get into NHS, the following year. Aside from connecting more with the Hilhi community, we need to support our local community. One way we could do that is connecting with Mayor Calloway, the mayor of Hillsboro. Asking him what service is needed across Hillsboro. Additionally, I think that NHS is an original and innovative group.Our projects should demonstrate that mindset of innovativeness and originality. For example, instead of cleaning up a park, we go out personally and volunteer at a struggling local business. So we go and
