I realized that creating a thesis first, then creating the layout helps one stay organized because it helps one with what to focus on in each paragraph. When the thesis is made prior to the essay that then helps when trying to figure out where to place each specific topic.
The strength of an introduction may come as an easy task to most, but for many it comes as a difficult task. How well an introduction turns out is based solely on how well one can explain briefly what the essay will be about. As a kid whenever I told a story I tended to go very far with every detail I would go as far as to explain what each person was doing. As I got older and would tell a story my parents would often say "get to the point". Having this happen quite often taught me how to explain things briefly and taught me how to get straight to the point.
Therefore, with every strength there comes a weakness. I have a few weaknesses such as being able to recognize a comma splice. I like to refer to comma splices as the silent killers because once I completely finish a paper I then get points deducted for every comma splice.
