recalled chapter seven and how while they will zealously defend their clients, the defense attorneys must deal with repeated no win situations. As with the defense attorney in this case, I felt that during their final statements that while they zealously defended Lane and fought against an attempted murder charge, that like so many other cases before, they knew that the odds of succeeding were slim to none. Then when evaluating the prosecutor in this case, to me they had not only had the sufficient evidence required to secure a conviction, that during their rebuttal of the defenses final statements, the prosecutor was able rebut the defenses claim of aggravated assault by playing on the juror’s emotions by stating that if murder wasn’t Lanes
