Throughout my boundary project journey, I will be focusing on how I can stand up for myself and express my needs to others without feeling guilty or be afraid of losing love. I want to be able to work on my boundary issue of compliance by using the word, “no” whenever it is needed, rather than always giving in. In my first week of the boundary project, I learned a lot about my child’s fears and how my adult could more effectively talk my child off the ledge, rather than completely pushing the child off through ineffective methods. During this week, I had one moment where I ran into my boundary issue.…

One thing that was stressed was the importance of giving back to those that come after me. Over the last three years I have done many things that help those around and in my community. One of the most recent events was during the summer during “Gospel Music Workshop of America”. The next event occurred after that was also in the summer in Brooklyn.…

I knew that college was going to be a great deal of work because of the experience that I had during Summer Bridge. The Summer Bridge schedule was extremely packed with very little free time, which made it difficult to complete assignments. I frequently stayed awake into the late hours of the night in order to finish homework. Although my schedule is currently not as strenuous as it was during Summer Bridge, I still find it difficult to meet the expectations my courses. EDS 50 is the class that I am taking because it is a mandated component of my scholarship and it is also my least stressful class out of the four that I am enrolled in.…

One of the major disadvantages of curtain walls is the need for regular maintenance. In order to keep out moisture and wind, a sealant must be applied to the perimeter, and this sealant must be replaced every 10 years or so. Another major disadvantage of curtain walls is the cost and time required to install them. Curtain walls utilizing the stick system, for example, require a great deal of time to assemble, and their performance depends on the quality of the installation. Unitized curtain walls consist of factory-assembled frames which reduces installation time and cost but incurs greater costs for shipping and storage.…

Even then, I imagined that I would one day become a dietitian, which would give me the chance to help sick people like my mom prolong their lives. My ambition was to facilitate healthy eating lifestyles in order to reduce chronic disease.…
