Reflective Essay: The Benefits Of Community College

Decent Essays
The community college I currently attend has been helpful these past few years, However, I feel I have reached an ending point. There are not a lot of networking opportunities available to me, nor are there other beneficial classes for my goals. I feel I have used all the resources available there and wish to open myself for further growth. I want to be able to teach or offer support for others who struggle emotionally and academically in the world, and I feel I would be better able to surpass this with a higher education. Along with this, I feel the need to surround myself with different types of people who both share and are different from my views in a supportive and conducive environment.

I learned to live on my own and take care of myself, while continuing to acquire training and education. It was also a time I took to figure who I am and who I want to be. With that in mind, I have found that I desire to continue growing at a different institution. While I have learned a significant amount of things in my current college and enjoyed every minute of it, I will be graduating from its program soon and wish to explore opportunities elsewhere.…
