Starting Over Time Persuasive Speech

Often times, when people start a new weight loss journey, they have the tendency to want to clear out everything that they have learned and start fresh – a concept of Tabula rasa: a blank slate. However, usually what they are starting over with is a new diet or a way of living based on an ‘expert’s’ recommendations. However, as you continue to be awakened through these exercises, you might be reminding yourself that ’starting over’ with another diet doesn’t remove emotions of regret, judgment, pain, and guilt which are buried beneath. This may inspire you to reflect on what things you continue to hold onto that aren’t supporting permanent weight loss.

Consider for a moment that you could actually ‘start over’ with a simple ceremony instead by letting go of what is holding you back – paving a way for a miraculous new path. To begin, set an intention for your ceremony and then take time to allow your pen to flow, writing

A personal ceremony will not only cleanse the past, but will help you release present moment patterns that you experience daily. During the ceremony or throughout this course, you will most likely notice that certain negative patterns are being experienced over and over again. For example, every Friday night you may binge, and every Monday morning, you may start a diet again. It is really important to change the negative energy pattern by acknowledging it and declaring that it actually exists. Acknowledge your patterns by filling in the blanks below:
