Reflective Essay On Ur Health

ur health is greatly affected by your thoughts, emotions, and ideas. Your ideology is composed of: your core values, aspects of positive and negative thought, how you behave when you don’t have distractions, how you cope, what you 're grateful for and how you demonstrate kindness, and the things that add meaning to your life. Your core values, while developing over time, help show who you are as a person. Mine includes: freedom, integrity, and enjoyment. I dislike being tied to things indefinitely and never making another choice. I believe strongly in integrity because I enjoy being as ethical as possible, also if the entire world operated without integrity, then it would be a much harder world to live in. These activities have helped me take a break from whatever situation I am in, however sometimes this strategies also cause problems. If I am working on a deadline and I decide to just take a nap or read something unrelated that is not helping me accomplish the task. This is why it is better to plan ahead and try to avoid stressful situations when at all possible. The three new coping methods I tried were: yoga, a two hour long activity you enjoy, and breathing exercises. Out of the three of these methods, I am more likely to continue the breathing exercises as they can be done anywhere and don’t require a ton of time. Yoga was very frustrating as I am not very coordinated and yet to have the poses memorized. This might be helpful over time, but in the short-run it was not. I played tennis for the two hour activity I enjoyed, however I don’t have time in my schedule to carve out a solid two hour block of time for this. Life doesn’t always go wrong though, and there are many things to be grateful …show more content…
Things from my list include: learning, spending time with family and friends, living simply, accomplishing goals, helping others, and traveling. You will never run out of things to learn and I see this as a great challenge while I am here. I want to learn as much as I can and leave something for others to learn as well. Life is finite and we don’t know when freak accidents will occur, so I spend as much time as possible with my friends and family. I pride myself in living life as simply as possible. I like to evaluate possessions before I bring them into my life because I would rather have a room full of ten things I love and use constantly than a house full of thousands of things I rarely use or care about. I love to help others because I want to see the world be a great place and you have to be the change you want to see. I find meaning in travel because I want to experience as my as possible in my

I think that in general, we all strive to live our lives in a way that brings us the most happiness, though our definitions of happiness are different. I think it’s safe to say that no one wants to welcome things that cause us pain but the truth is that pain is inevitable, it is a part of life, and without pain we cannot learn and grow. There are valuable lessons in success and failure. It is what we take away from our experiences that shape our morality.…
