My time in room 303 during my senior year of high school has been interesting. I experienced immediate progress in my writing and reading abilities. The professors famous lectures were definitely all they were hyped up to be. His unfamiliar way of teaching has proven to be a success. My reading and writing scores continued to increase throughout the school year. The lengthy year flew by with the help of Mr. McGee and his entertaining lectures. This was one of the first time I have enjoyed doing so much homework, and this is all owed to the teacher who truly taught me how to read. There are a few things that I wish I could have done a better job with. Yet there are also some categories where I am proud of what I accomplished. This self-reflection …show more content…
There were countless times during this school year where I would use any loophole possible to get extra time on an assignment. One disadvantage that I had was not having the use of a printer at home. If I was capable of finishing my work completely at home, I do believe that a few more assignments would have been turned in at the proper time. This is still not an excuse, because excuses are for losers. I have acquired a tendency to be a procrastinator during my highschool days. This has been a bad habit to obtain. The skipping of class to finish work, or the use of the "next day rule" was something that I commonly did. At the next level of education this will not be a possible path. If I want to be a success at my next stop on the learning train, I must learn to deal with deadlines in a more appropriate manner. These small loopholes that I have discovered throughout high school will not be present at higher levels of education. I must delete this bad habit of procrastination, whether it is skipping school or using the hidden gateways to turning late assignments in for full credit, before arriving at the university. One way that I will work on this during the summer is to never miss an unnecessary day of work. During the summer I will be on my "A-Game" the whole time, and never be late to any event no matter the importance of it. A goal that I will set for next year is to obtain a perfect attendance. My procrastination habits have grown throughout high school, and I used the loopholes countless times during my time in room 303. This will not be a proper way to manage my schoolwork at the next level of education, and I must begin working with deadlines in a more appropriate

The homework due Monday didn’t take long, I could’ve easily gotten ahead on my L.A. paper but I decided against it telling myself “Oh, I got until Wednesday. I got plenty of time and putting it off one more day wouldn’t be a problem.” I shutdown my computer that I used for homework and headed to the basement to play Madden 16 which I knew was probably the reason for rushing my homework and not trying to get ahead on anything, but I just convinced myself against this theory because I just wanted to play my game. I played until about midnight and forced myself to bed.…

“We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools” (Foster). This statement is one of the many famous political expressions made by President Barack Obama; this one in particular was one from a speech in April 2011. Self reflection is the mental process that acquires knowledge and understanding through thoughts and experience which helps encourage self awareness. This essay focuses on assessing my objectives and how I have developed my skills from the beginning of this semester until now. At the start of semester A, I wasn’t confident in preparing for the skills sessions and workshops. I wasn 't always able to find the correct answers to the workshop questions set which made it relatively difficult for me to participate in lectures despite finding myself at the library every other day. I began by listening to knowledge based lectures online and making notes alongside the recommended reading given by my lecturers or the module guide.…
