My parents have always let me have my own imagination, opinions and views on the world, and I am so thankful for that. Macklamore has a line about when he was younger and what his mom said to him when he thought we was gay because of what he had heard people who were gay were like."Ben you 've loved girls since before pre-k, trippin '." Yeah, I guess she had a point, didn 't she? Bunch of stereotypes all in my head.” Many children are taught at a young age what to believe in and what the “right” way to live is by their parents. When in reality there is no right way to live. My parents never pointed out the differences in people, like race or sexuality because that’s not something that should affect the way you treat or see someone. It’s their personality and their heart that makes them who they are. Having the opportunity to discover my own acceptance towards others has been very rewarding. When I talk to people that disagree with my opinion I can get upset and annoyed but then again that’s what they were taught. If they haven’t had the same revelation or experiences as me they aren’t going to agree with the things I have to say. At some point you have to agree to disagree but never give in on what you know and believe is
