Goals report reveals that my body appears to be balanced based on the amount of vitamins and minerals totally received but still lacking in enough nutrients. According to the intake report, my diet had vitamins and minerals that were below 100% which included thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folate, vitamin C, vitamin D, alpha-tocopherol, calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, and sodium. In addition, the macronutrient that is the highest within my diet is my total fat percentage at 85%. According to an article about Macronutrients and Micronutrients, “macronutrients supply the energy, measured in calories, in this description: 55% to 60% from carbohydrates, 25% to 30% from fats, and 5% to 10% from proteins.” The negative result of the high percentage of fat in my diet is unhealthy which would cause the body to store excess fat with a lack of physical activity. Macronutrients are essential to for nutritional health and it can help to reduce diseases if maintained. The Intake vs. Goals report helped me realize that I have not given enough attention to regulating how much fat is present in my diet. A food that can be reduced in my diet are nuts and the large amount of snacking I have begun to eat more frequently than normal between meals. Goals report and the intake Spreadsheet my lowest micronutrient is vitamin D. Although I have made an effort to go outside and enjoy the outdoors for long hours at a time my clothes don’t reveal enough skin to earn enough vitamin D. After reading the article Micronutrients Matter, I have learned that” micronutrients are the necessity of a complete macronutrient profile to foster muscle gains, support performance, and decrease bod fat. “It is important to find a health balance with micros and macros to help build a healthier body. I intend to pay closer attention to avoid fast food and food that are extra high in sugar so I can focus on continuing to find a proper balance in my diet. I have learned that those two factors in addition to the way I eat have affected my diet and whether I maintain a healthy weight. The My Plate Analysis results have shown that my diet is lacking in lean protein. At this time I am consuming lots of fruits and vegetables but I also need to eat them in proper portion along with the food I
