When I call Mary, “Mother”, I am not using empty words or just speaking randomly. In fact, I am incapable of using any other name and I can never tire of calling her Mother. Since I acknowledge that Mary is my mother, I must inevitably see that she has a great love for me as her child. Parents have a natural and instinctive impulse for their children which is called love. I am so assured that even if it were possible for a mother to forget to love her child, Mother Mary can never neglect to love a soul that has become her child.

If I declare that the Son is King, then I must accept that the mother who bore Him should certainly be looked upon as queen and sovereign. If the LORD Jesus is truly King of the universe, then Blessed Mary must be its Queen Mother. As Queen, she possesses by right the whole Kingdom of her Son. Mary is therefore Queen, and I hail her for it!
For my consolation, I must remember that she is a most tender and kind queen, who is eager to help me in my miseries. The holier she is, the greater her compassion is for sinners who come to her with the determination to do better. Queen Mary is under an infinite obligation to the Son because He chose her to be His mother. At the same time, the Son is under great obligation to His mother because she gave Him His humanity.
Logically, it follows that if the LORD Jesus is to pay what He owes to Mary, then glorying in her glory means that He honours her in a special manner by listening to all her requests and granting them. I reminisce that Mary was made Queen of Mercy to save the most abandoned sinners who recommend themselves to her. I recognize that I am such a sinner, who needs to turn to this most tender
