Why Do People Play Mind Games-Helpful Or Harmful?

Humans have a built in mechanism of survival, an internal want to live that is so strong we generally run with it in ignorance. This inbuilt characteristic worked for the original cave men who had a heightened level of adrenaline, the fight or flight response. Their largest driver was to avoid the danger of predators, even the ones they were hunting. With modern men and women that very same survival instinct still exists, however we tend to dedicate a good portion of it to viewing others as potential threats, and create over time a huge battleground. So the talent of mind games began to thrive, everyone plays them to varying degrees from quite innocent white lies or exaggerating truths, all the way through to corporate assassination and bullying. People will attempt to manipulate you for fun or control of your assets, and while you may be innocent on your journey you may not even realise others are playing mind games. This type of intruder use their size to become intimidating, they are often tall and have a dominating presence about them. The people not involved in the mind games observing from a distance will often see what is happening, but are not courageous enough to intervene. This type of will generally have narcissistic tendencies, but perhaps are not yet a full blown narcissist. They are often passive-aggressive, and will confidently drift through life self-convinced they are better than those around them.
